Empire Aesthetics Med Spa is known for their custom airbrush spray tans. Owner, Kaylee Cobb has been a spray tan technician for over eleven years. She has trained and certified all providers in custom airbrush spray tans. We offer regular and rapid solutions. Regular solutions are left on for 12 hours before rinsing. However, most clients choose to be sprayed with a rapid solution as it can be rinsed off in 3-6 hours. This means you won’t have to sleep in your spray tan and get your sheets dirty. Not only is it much more convenient, but we have a variety of colors to choose from. Your spray tan technician will color match you at your appointment based on your skin tone and desired color. When you receive a custom airbrush spray tan, you are not limited to a “one size fits all” type of experience. We ensure you are sprayed in every area evenly, including under the breasts, arms, and butt. A booth spray tan does not spray tan all of these areas evenly. You’ll never be left with orange hands or streak marks when sprayed by us. All spray tans include a FREE pH balancing prep spray which moisturizes your skin and balances your pH levels prior to the tan ensuring your skin develops the best color possible. Followed by a FREE HydroFirm Finishing Spray which accelerates your spray tan results, hydrates the skin, and uses a powerful blend of antioxidants to stimulate collagen and elastin to soften and firm the skin. Footies are included, a hair net, and blending cream. We dont believe in charging extra for additives. 

Custom airbrush spray tans lasts 5-10 days depending on aftercare. Obviously, if you are going on a water vacation where you are in the beach or the pool, you can expect your spray tan to last about five days before it starts to fade. With proper aftercare, you can get up to ten days with a spray tan. If you are spray tanning for your wedding we recommend doing a trial spray tan at least one month prior to your wedding. If you have a trial makeup session set up, it would be ideal to do it 1-3 days prior to that appointment. Brides are not required to do a trial spray tan but since it’s such a big day we do advise it. Trials should be done 1-3 months prior to your wedding. For your official wedding spray tan, we recommend spray tanning 2-3 days prior to the wedding. Please get your nails and toes done prior to your appointment if you are doing so. For a vacation, we recommend spray tanning 1-3 days prior to leaving. For any other event, we recommend 1-3 days prior. While your spray tans are rapid solutions, this simply means you get to shower and rinse off the spray tan sooner (2-6 hours after). It does not mean your tan will develop any faster. It will still take the full 12-24 hours to fully develop. 

Please arrive with CLEAN SKIN!!! Absolutely no makeup, lotion, deodorant, or perfumes on your skin. If you are coming from somewhere where you had to apply deodorant, do not forget to take it off prior to your spray tan or it can cause a green dis-coloration to the skin due to a chemical reaction with the spray tan. Baby wipes are not significant enough to remove this or your makeup. You will need to purchase a Norvel Exfoliating MIT from us. Please ask your provider for one. They are $5.99. Please wear lose fitting baggy clothes as you will be slightly sticky after your spray tan and do not want to smear it while it is developing. Dark colored clothes are better as the solution can rub off on your clothes before you Shower. After showering, you do not need to worry about it rubbing off on your clothes. We spray tan brides who are sweating and dancing in their white dress all night long and it will not rub off. If on the odd chance it does, it will come off at the dry cleaners. Please shave and exfoliate THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SPRAY TAN! Do not shave or exfoliate right before your appointment, your skin needs time to heal. We sell exfoliators at Empire for $9.99 or if you do not have one, simply use a loofah and soap and water. 

After being spray tanned, you will look very dark. This is due to a cosmetic bronzer in the solution. If it wasn’t dark we wouldn’t be able to see where we were spray tanning you. Don’t stress, as soon as you shower, this dark color rinses off in the shower. If you are spray tanned with the regular solution, you will need to rinse off in 12 hours. If you are sprayed with the rapid solution, your service provider will guide you when to shower. For light color, please rinse off in 3 hours. For medium color, rinse off in 4 hours. For dark color, rinse in 5-6 hours. Please do not leave it on for longer than six hours. DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO GET YOUR TAN WET UNTIL IT IS TIME TO SHOWER!!!! Your spray tan has to develop…sweating, washing your hands, or getting it wet early will cause your spray tan to rinse off and not develop properly. Once it is time to shower, please rinse with WATER ONLY. Do not use soap until 24 hours after your spray tan. We offer a variety of aftercare products for your skin to prolong the life of your tan. It’s important to use proper aftercare to not only ensure your tan lasts, but it also allows your tan to exfoliate off evenly and not look blotchy when it does start to tan. Spray tans can be drying on the skin and if your skin is already dry, it will exfoliate your tan off unevenly and too quickly. We recommend using a Hempz or Hemp Nation Tan extender twice daily. This body lotion is spray tan safe and combines powerful antioxidants and hemp extracts to hydrate the skin and extend the color of your spray tan. Plus, it is an amazing anti-aging, firming moisturizer to use even when you don‘t have a spray tan. We also recommend using a Hempz body wash and exfoliator. You will use the body wash while you have a spray tan, the exfoliator will be used to scrub off your spray tan. You will also use the exfoliator the day before getting a new spray tan. Hempz and Hemp Nation products are spray tan safe because they don’t contain mineral oil which strips the DHA (bronzer) in your tan, and they are free of denatured alcohol which dries out your skin. Please avoid over the counter products such as aveeno, dove, bath and body works, bar soaps, etc. They contain mineral oil and denatured alcohol which will create a film on your skin and strip your tan much faster. 

We offer two spray tan memberships at Empire. The Bronzed Goddess Single Membership is $27.99/monthly. You will receive one spray tan a month as a member. Additional spray tans are only $27.99 if you choose to spray tan more than once a month. It is a six month commitment. If you do not use a spray tan one month, it does not roll over to the next month. If you are someone who spray tans more frequently, we recommend saving money with the Bronzed Goddess Unlimited Membership. It is $79.99/monthly. You will receive unlimited spray tans, meaning you can spray tan as many times as you’d like. It is a three month commitment.  Both memberships have a $15 enrollment fee.
